I think to understand the organization of my classroom and subjects, you first need to gain an understanding of ME! My job as a teacher is to create and encourage self motivation and independent learning in my students. To accomplish this, I give students positive feedback and encouragement, give assignments appropriate for the student’s level of learning and create a learning environment that is open and positive. Also, I hold high, but realistic expectations for my students. Most importantly, I help students set achievable goals for themselves. As a teacher, I feel I have a tremendous impact on the lives of my students. I believe it is important for me to model leadership behaviors and set an excellent example for my students. I maintain classroom control, while being understanding as well. |
