Standard 2.9 Application of Technology |
|
Is technology a routine part of students' classroom experience? Are the applications of technology well matched to learning goals and authentic uses within the disciplines students are studying?
In all levels of Career Prep Math I use the multimedia cart for lesson presentation. Almost daily I incorporate an internet research activity for the student to solve. I also use on a regular basis, the mobile computer classroom. My students log in to their network accounts and access the WINS software program to prepare them for Work Keys exams. I work through the lessons with the students via the multimedia cart equipment, then the students repeat the lessons and take the appropriate pre and post tests.
In addition to using the mobile classroom, I make my classroom mobile on many occasions as well. My classes will periodically move to the “Cyber Café” in front of the Cyber Center to use the notebook computers and complete WINS lessons as evidenced in the attached pictures.
