Standard 2.11 Planning and Curriculum Instruction |
|
Does the teacher engage in effective long and short term planning that improves student learning? Does the teacher plan curriculum, instruction and assessment and ensure that they are linked.
The daily lessons are carefully planned to ensure that they are linked comps established by the district and are carefully organized in a fashion that ensures student learning and content mastery. This planning begins with the classroom environment and is further expanded with the course syllabus, lesson plans, and long range plans.
To ensure the instruction and assessments are linked, I constantly update a grid for each of three levels I teach. This grid provides a visual of where I need to be instructionally for the optimum delivery for my students.
