Standard 6.3     Does the teacher positively represent him/herself and the school in the community?

I am one of three Career Prep teachers at Blythewood High School. I am also a coach in the girls basketball and track programs.  My duties not only include my students, but my student athletes as well.  I wear the school colors and set an example for students and student athletes about positive representation.

Although we live at Lake Wateree, my family spends a great deal of time in Blythewood.  My youngest son is involved in recreational basketball and baseball through Trinity United Methodist.  I have volunteered my time in both sports.  My husband is also a volunteer announcer for the Blythewood basketball and baseball programs.  I will also be working with the Town of Blythewood on a community improvement committee.  In addition, I am the chairperson for the Northeast Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society that will be held at Blythewood High School,

May 16 and 17, 2008.
