Lieutenant Colonel Charles White
LTC White was commissioned a 2LT in the Infantry after graduating from Florida A&M University in Aug 1981. After attending the Infantry Officer Basic Course, he was assigned to the 1st Battalion (Mech), 4th Infantry, 3d ID (M) in Aschaffenburg, Germany. There he served as a rifle platoon leader, company executive officer, and battalion S-4. He attended the Infantry Officer Advance Course at FT Benning, Georgia in April 1986. Following the Advance Course, he was assigned to the 24th Infantry Division (M), where he served as Brigade Assistant S4, Bradley Company Commander, Inspector General Plans and Analysis Officer, Commander, HHC 24th Infantry Division.
In 1992, LTC White attended Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at FT Leavenworth, Kansas. He also served as a CGSC Instructor, and a Leader Development Action Officer.
Other assignment includes 24th ID G3 Operations, Battalion S3, 2-7 Infantry, Operations Officer, XVIII Airborne Corps, and Chief, G3 Training XVIII Airborne Corps, Cdr, 1st battalion, 306th Regiment (TS)(IN), Deputy Commander U.s. Army Central Command Saudi Arabia and Brigade Executive Officer 1st Basic Combat Training Brigade, FT. Jackson, SC. LTC White retired from the military OCT 1, 2004.
LTC White holds a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from Florida A&M University, and a Master of Science in Administration degree from Central Michigan University.
His decorations include Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (6 oak leaf clusters), Army Commendation Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), Army Achievement Medal, and the Expert Infantry Badge.
LTC White is married to the former Bertha Lance of Georgetown, South Carolina and they have one daughter, Nicole age 22, and one son Charles Jr. at age 19.
