Battalion XO Mitchell Robbins

Battalion Executive Officer Major Joshua Busbey

Hello. I was born in Summerville, NJ in the fall of 1991. In the spring of 1997, I moved down to Blythewood, SC. I am currently a LET 5 junior, and I am scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2009. I currently have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale. After high school I plan to obtain an ROTC Scholarship and apply to either Johnson & Wells or the Culinary Institute of Charleston. I plan to get an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts, then a Bachelors Degree in hotel and Restaurant Tourism or management. After college I plan to pursue my career as a Personal Chef. I enjoy cooking and am currently taking culinary arts courses at BHS. Later I plan to enlist or possibly seek a commission in the military. I worked at USC Equestrian Center for a year and am currently working at D’s Wings. I enjoy playing sports such as recreational soccer. I am also currently on Bengal Emergency Team. My LET 1 year I received the American Legion Award of Citizenship. My LET 2 year I was promoted to SFC. When I was a LET 3 I was promoted to 1SG and served as the Alpha Company 1SG. That same year I received the Order of Dedallions medal. This medal is only awarded to one sophomore who excels in the highest level of leadership. My LET 4 year I was promoted to CSM and am currently serving as the battalion CSM. I have been on the Drill Team for 3 years now and am one of the commanders for certain events. I am also on Color Guard and have participated in many of the events for our school and the community. JROTC has changed my life in many ways to not only be a better person, but to have the leadership skills and motivation to set a positive future for me. I encourage you to join ROTC because it is a life changing experience for you and your future.
