Raider Team

The Raider Team is Blythewood High School’s physical fitness and adventure training team. We are the tip of the spear, representing the smartest and the fastest within our corps of cadets. We currently have 27 cadets on our 2008 Raider Team, although only 11 cadets can participate at our meets. This ensures that only the cream of the crop; the best of the best represent our school during competition. The Raiders participate in approximately 5 events during the season. The Raider season lasts the entire second semester, with practice after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Though, all Raiders and aspiring Raiders are recommended to conduct physical training on their own time. The Raider course extends beyond just PT, as we also apply such skills as land navigation, knot tying, and ‘The Rope Bridge’, all of which require large amounts of skill and determination with an emphasis on team cohesion. If you have any questions or comments, or think you have what it takes to be a part of the Raider team, please contact C/MAJ Mitchell Robbins.
