Blythewood Honors Forum

This program is designed for highly motivated students who seek a challenging academic environment. Eighth grade students zoned for Blythewood High School can apply for admission during January and February and are accepted on the basis of teacher recommendations, test scores, and their academic record. Students will be evaluated yearly and advised as to the progress they are making in the program. An Honors Forum diploma will be awarded for students at the end of their senior year that complete the requirements of the Honors Forum including:

  • Completion of 4 Honors Courses
  • Completion of two Honors Advanced Seminars
  • Completion of a minimum of 5 Advanced Placement Courses
  • Completion of the Honors School Senior Project

Entrance

Admission process: Applicants submit interest in the program during the spring semester of their 8th grade year. They complete an application and are evaluated for acceptance on the following criteria: teacher recommendations, test scores, academic record, and a writing sample.
